Patratu Valley

Forty kilometers away from Ranchi is the small picturesque town of Patratu. The place is totally untouched and virgin in its lush greenery. Take a day’s trip from Ranchi to this place, the Ghat roads are blissful, and the drive is exhilarating. Pass through the Pithoria-Patratu valley, with lovely S-curves, hairpin bends, swooping corners and absolutely stunning views. The roads are picturesque too with wide corners and fenced borders. Get a splendid view of the Patratu Dam from the hills, and enjoy untouched nature at its best in this area. Pro Tip: Please do not venture into this road after dark as these regions are considered to be very sensitive and deeply affected by the Naxalite influence.
