Madhava Raya Temple at Gorantla in Anantapur district of A.P. is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Temple was constructed during Vijaya Nagar period. There are several Inscriptions about temple administration. This temple consists of a simple arrangement of a plain vimana and a manadapa. This double unit is approached through a second open mandapa with seating on three sides. The central columns on the periphery have crouching lion-like images called as "Yalis". Ceiling panels in both madapas are conceived with rotated squares and petal-like motifs in the corners. An unfinished gateway in the form of gopuram stands to the east.
