Himalayan Tibet Museum

Learn about Tibetan culture and history at Himalayan Tibet Museum. Situated within walking distance from the town center, the museum was opened in 2015 on the ground floor of a non-profit organization for preservation of Tibetan heritage. In addition to Tibetan cloth paintings, traditional musical instruments, prayer bells, and other artifacts, the museum also houses a moving photo exhibit depicting the exodus of Tibetan refugees. Some of highlights include a 3D model of the Himalayan plateau and a replica of Potala Palace, the former seat of Tibetan government.
